Public Sector Integrity Commissioner to hold a news briefing following the tabling of a Case Report on wrongdoing at a penal institution under Correctional Service Canada

Ottawa, February 3, 2016 – In light of a finding of wrongdoing at a facility under the purview of Correctional Service Canada, the Public Sector Integrity Commissioner, Joe Friday, will table a Case Report with the Speakers of the House of Commons and the Senate of Canada on Thursday, February 4, 2016.

The Case Report deals with a finding of wrongdoing following an investigation at the Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge, a penal institution under the authority of Correctional Service Canada. The Report will be considered public once it is tabled at the start of the sitting day of the House of Commons at 10 a.m.

The Commissioner will be available through a telephone news briefing at 10:30 a.m. or for subsequent individual interviews. Those interested in participating in the telephone news briefing must register by contacting Christine Lamadeleine at: lamadeleine.christine@psic-ispc.gc.ca or 613-941-8272 no later than 9 a.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2016.
